Enabling Drop Sensor (Model 3578)

This article shows you how to program your model 3578 can/bottle machine to use the drop sensor to detect if a product has vended.

Symptoms/Considerations

Since model 3578 is a can/bottle machine, optics need to be turned off.

The configuration settings need to be changed to can/bottle for every selection.
You may also change the sensitivity of your drop sensor. Instructions are below. This option is not used often so it is not necessary to change this for initial setup.

 

Press the blue button to enter Service Mode.

Once you're in Service Mode follow these steps accordingly:

 

Turn optics off by changing the setting on step 4 to "ALLn". Make sure you press # to save.

If all of the items are can only or bottles only follow the steps below:
